Elysium (2023)

Fanfare for brass ensemble

“Elysium,” also referred to as “Elysian Fields,” is a reference from Greek and Roman mythology that represents a fictional blessed place of paradise where great men are placed after death.  Basically, it is a representation of what we refer to as “Heaven.”  This piece, influenced by a movement of an earlier piano composition, is meant to celebrate those who are remembered and cherished by each one of us.
