Passages is a brief electronic piece that takes the sounds of many different instruments (most notably a piano and cello) and places them through various audio manipulation techniques (including tuned filters, granular synthesis, time-stretching, pitch shifting, etc.) to create a landscape of surreal sound and narrative. I found myself very drawn to the opening sounds of this piece when I was conceiving it and felt that in some way it demonstrated a reflective journey of my musical development.
